Farewell to Yang the Nauseating, mka Robert Asprin

In the SCA, he was one of the early members and was the founder of the Great Dark Horde. Asprin, born in 1946, died peacefully on May 22 at his home.

Armor stolen in Meridies

Armouring and Weaponsmithing | Meridies | Modern SocietyBenedict Longsword of Monmouth reports that armor was stolen from the vehicle of Michael Ward (Ian Lowery) in Montgomery, Alabama during the weekend of May 10-11, 2008. Lord Benedict hopes that SCA members will be on the lookout for it.
SCA gear stolen in West Kingdom

I came for the fighting and competition,” said Arthur Donadio, 40, a former football player who saw his opportunities for sport dwindling as he aged. “You stay for the friends you make and the opportunity to keep it going and teach other people.” John Ramsey of the Fayetteville Observer has the story.
