During your visit, please take part in our heavy tourney and battle scenarios. There will also be a Torchlight Tourney using the infamous "Wheel of Death." There will be Rapier activities as well. We will have children's activities throughout the day, as well as classes for all ages. The case of who killed the courier will also be solved during this fun weekend!

During the day, we will have passes at the barrier, Grande Melees, and honorable challenges to fill the day. Join the Gallery in cheering on the fighters and declaring challenges. After the tournament, there will be a feast in the style of 16th Century Spain to fill our bellies and pass the evening. Join us in feasting upon three courses of delicacies from Libre del Coch! Once again it is time for Poor Man's Pennsic. This is a two day camping event.

The Shire of Windy Meads, in league with the Principality of Cynagua, is hosting a newcomers' collegium on Saturday, August 5, at the Masonic Hall in Esparto. That's about 15 miles West of Woodland.

From the 11th to 13th of August, the lovely countess Aurelia is opening her estate in Buedingen to us for our war-like mustering, and we will do combat, in styles both heavy and light, at the very walls of that city, ancient and fortified though they may be!

Once again the Kingdom's archers sally forth. This year instead of the King's forests, we will be venturing through his fields and pastures. St Sebastians will be held on wooded pasture lands east of Greeley this year.
This new site will give our shoot-master new fodder for his devious
brain. Fun and interesting shoots will be planned, and of course our
flaming arrow night shoot.
The site is' primitive.' Which means we will have port-a-johns, and

It started as an idea and has grown into a legend. Alas, all good things come to an end. That's right, Oertha has a new prince and princess and as the summer wanes, it's time for "Who's Afraid of Beowulf 4!"
This will be the last installment of our saga. The great Hrafnafjordr Axe of Might has long carried the spirit of The Beast Grendel within it and has corrupted the shire's Champion. Now the call goes out to find a new hero, one who can defeat the old champion, now turned wicked, and lay waste to the spirit of Grendel himself, freeing the Shire from evil, once and for all....In addition to the championship tourney there will be contests aplenty to celebrate the Viking spirit in all of us including miniature Viking boat building (extra points for authenticity and if it is able to float and hold a small amount of weight), Viking booty call (fashion show) and a good old fashioned beserker contest. As the evening winds down, come over Byfrost to Valhalla, where we will feast with those who died in honorable combat against the monster that day. Bring your own spirits and a good voice to the Bardic fire. This is the LAST BEOWULF!! Be there or be...uh... square! Lord Gunnar's duties call him elsewhere and he has passed the torch on to other shire folk.

The Shire of Granite Mountain will host the Inter-Shire Arts & Sciences Collegium. This is an opportunity for those living in the far reaches of Atenveldt to attend a learning experience created just for you!
Yes, it's happening again! A total weekend devoted to the Arte of Rapier Combat. Spread over two days will be training sessions, a tournament or two, melee sessions and a rapier game, a relaxed weekend of fencing and feasting. Lunch is served on both days, with a feast of simple foods on the Saturday night. Billets, booking and information can be arranged by contact with the Steward.

For non-fighters we have a theme: Come dressed as a 16th C Courtier
