This year, follow in a Quest for Nobility by competing in heavy armor melees, rapier combat, games, dance, chess tournament, arching at the butts, an Heraldry challenge and many other activities of Noble pursuit.

Join us in our yearly plague theme event and help us celebrate the persona wedding of The Honorable Lord John of Widcombe and Baroness Anna Genevieve of Ancyra. If you have not been to this site before you will be pleased. It rates 4 Stars on Celestine's site satisfaction scale. Rooms have only 2 bunk beds and are climate controlled for each room. Dorms have ample showers, toilets, coin laundry, fireplace and are scrupulously clean. Bring your own firewood. At the last event they also had a TV, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. Parking while convenient to the dorms, can be a little tight. You may want to save some gas and ride with a friend. BBQ grills, outdoor tables and fire rings are available.
This October 20-22 the Barony of the Sacred Stone will be hosting the War of the Wings against the Barony of Windmasters Hill. It will be held at Elchenburg Castle in the beautiful hills of Elkin, North Carolina. Come witness and participate in the glorious battles. Enjoy tales, songs, dancing and good company. There will be castle battles, woods battles, grand melees and torchlight tournaments for both heavy and rapier.

The battle was fought on a rainy day, the feast day of Saint Crispin, in 1415 between the English and Welsh army of King Henry V and the French army of King Charles VI.

The site will open from 9 am to 9 pm.
Among the activities planned for the day include an opportunity for instruction from the Order of the Chivalry, as we are honored to carry on the "Gold Chain" Series. For those who prefer the gentler arts, a regional scriptorium is being planned.

The Beauteous Baroness Bianca doth invite the Populace of Her Fair Barony, and any others interested and willing, to attend Her Arts and Sciences Competition and Collegium.
The learning and other festivities will take place on the 21st day of October in the city of Ogden. There will be lots of classes, including a fighting class track, and an A&S competition to choose the Baronial Champion. There will also be a fabulous fundraiser lunch. Come have hot and hearty soup prepared with love by the goode cookes in our Barony and contribute to the Baronial Pavilion fund. If you would like to donate a period dish for the lunch AND enter it in the A&S, that is an option but not a requirement for the dish. Donations are greatly appreciated.
On Oct. 31, A.S. XX, the branch called Sentinels’ Keep was founded, in the Region of Artemisia. Since then we have grown, from incipient Shire to Barony. Many of our founding folk have wandered away, but many more have come to take their places. Now Sentinels’ Keep invites her many friends from near and far to help us celebrate 20 years of our existence, on October 21. (This year we’re half as old as the Society!)

It rained. It poured. It was cold and soggy. But, we had so much fun last year at our first Frosted Hills Gets Dirty that we just had to do it again. Even with the wettest weather we could imagine, lots of people learned to make lots of neat things and had a blast.
Therefore, we are once again pleased to invite you to come for an exciting weekend of dirty classes that don't fit into a regular schola or EKU format. In addition to hosting the 5th Metalsmiths Symposium, we anticipate having classes in almost any craft, including blacksmithing, casting, silversmithing, lampwork, pottery, woodworking, leatherwork etc. If it's dirty, or involves heat or needs a large space, we plan to have it. There is even a pottery pit firing being scheduled.

There will be two A&S events - the Best Headgear for your Persona, be it hat, wimple and veil, or helm; any appropriate head covering. There will also be a display of your most current Work in Progress, so we can all see what wonderful things are being made in Faire Atlantia. PLEASE have your A&S entry in by 1 p.m. We plan to have a Consult table during the day, as well. After Feast there will be our well known Bardic Competition, so practice your song, poem, or story to share!

An Invitation to join in the fun at the 2nd annual Culcairn Medieval Fayre and Medieval Feast. (Held at Culcairn, NSW - on the Victorian Border)
The
Fayre starts at 10 am and goes through 'til 4 - ish. There will be
stilt walkers, stalls, Bordescros will be doing A&S and Fighting
displays, bellydancers, Morris dancers, other medieval groups. Then
there is a break until dinner time (time to take down stalls etc). The
Scheherazade regaled the Sultan with tales of adventure and fortune for one thousand and one nights to save her life. Storytellers have retold her stories around campfires for a millennium. Join Sheik Barre, Sheika Cordelia and the entire populace of the Barony of Bright Hills as we spin the yarn for one more night.
Come cheer on the combatants and see the Line of the North secured. In addition to the tournament itself, we may offer archery and thrown weapons as well as space for those who wish to practice the Art of Defense, weather permitting. We hope to offer youth combat after Crown tournament, time permitting. There will also be a Seneschal’s meeting after the tournament. Stay for our fabulous feast, and dancing afterwards. There are showers on site, and plenty of parking. The site is wheelchair accessible. No pets – service animals only, please. As per Ontario Law, no BYOB. Site is wet.
Do you want new garb? Does your armor need an update? Perhaps you just want to share and learn? Classes are being formed for armor, leather, needlework, hats, menswear, and ladieswear: clothing and accessories.
Site opens at 9 am; classes begin at 10 am at the Lyndonviklle central School: 25 Housel Ave., Lyndonville, NY 14098. The event fee is $5.00. Lunch is included. There is no feast. Some classes will have supply fees.

The site is in the Shire of Lost Forest, Warrensburg, MO on Central Missouri State University's Campus in the Lovinger Educational Building on Maguire Street, this is the name that Highway 13 takes as it goes through Warrensburg.
The Shire of Lost Forest is pleased to announce that in addition to the 24 classes already being offered on October 28th, we will be hosting, in conjunction with the University of Central Missouri (formerly CMSU) Archives and Museum, a special presentation of "World of Weaving: A Cross-Cultural Examination of Weaving."
The exhibit will feature traditional textiles from Saudi Arabia, Native America, Latin America, China, Europe and Africa. The exhibit will be open for SCA participants only on Saturday October 28th from 1-4:30pm. Presentations will include a working warp-weighted loom, drop spinning, middle eastern embroider, medieval, east Asia, and reenacting Anglo-Saxon culture with an emphasis on camping.

Pay heed good gentles of the realm, as you are cordially invited to attend Their Royal Majesties Lucan and Jana's Crown Tournament in the Barony of Stonemarche come Saturday, November 4th, 2006.
This event will take place on 146 acres of the Lone Tree Scout Reservation in Kingston, NH. There will be a large outdoor fighting area for the tournament and a 40'x60' shade/rain pavilion for the general populace. On site is an outdoor fort in which will be held a youth combat tournament. There is a dining hall with a fireplace to provide warmth, where a hearty luncheon banquet will be served for all from 12:00-4:00pm.
It is said that "all roads lead to Rome" but sometimes there are more interesting stops along the way, such as the wonderful Tuscan city of Florence; the home of Dante, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Galileo, and the Medici family.

Come Join the Barony of Blackstone Mountain in this our 3rd celebration of the Festival of the Wickerman. It will be held on Saturday November 4, 2006 at the Jackson County Fair Grounds, 7204 Route 62 Cottageville WV 25239.
Event site will open at 10:00 am and close 12:00 pm. All those who wish to stay later will pressed into service for clean up.

An exciting scribal and textile arts schola is being held at the newly constructed Branstetter-McCandless Castle at 755 Stonegate Road, Wexford, PA 15090 on November 4 from 10 am to 10 pm. Several of the classrooms will be in the castle towers or the Great Hall. A feast by Margaret MacFee will be served in the Great Hall and galleries. Great Hall seating will be available for on-board only.

This will be a day filled with many classes of the Arts and Sciences to fulfill everyone's and anyone's curiosity in just about any field.
Her Majesty has decreed that the finest Artisans and Teachers of the Realm attend Her to help spread the vast knowledge that surrounds us in Her Great Kingdom. The Barony of Blatha An Oir is once again having its annual Harvest Feast on the 4th of November. Their Excellencies invite you to join the Barony as we enjoy the comfort foods of Spain. The Chest of Largess grows bare and a request from Our Baroness has come forth to the populace of Blatha An Oir to show their support and to bring offerings for the continuance of generosity at future events. Harvest Feast is our traditional opportunity to share our bounty and to fulfill this request in splendorous courtly fashion.
Come join us as we celebrate the rise of the Harvest Moon. You won't want to miss feast, which will be created by some of the Meridian Grand Chefs. We will have plenty of activities for everyone, from heavy fighting and rapier (featuring the Toys for Tots Tourneys), youth combat, live weapons, and classes. We are also proud to present the Thorngill Thespians after feast cleanup with a masked ball to follow the show. (Masks shall be available for purchase. Masks are not required after the first set.)

Come one and all to the quarterly tournament designed to celebrate the glories of the SCA. This tournament is designed for all levels of SCA participants. The title of Sable Wolf will be given to the victor of the tournament and held until the next quarter's tournament when the next Sable Wolf will be chosen. The Title of Wolf's Fang will be given to the fighter with less than two years experience who went the farthest in the tournament lists and held until the next quarter's tournament when the next Wolf's Fang will be chosen.

The Shire of Nithgaard will host its fourth annual textile symposium on the weekend of November 10-12 (a week earlier than usual), at the Sieg Conference Center located on Narrows Road in Lamar, PA (no street address). Saturday the 11th will be a day of classes and workshops devoted to fabric, string, and their glorious arts. Melee and tournament combat engagements in a medieval style will be organized by Thorvaaldr Frirsverth. The site opens at 2PM on Friday, and closes at 1PM on Sunday.

What is the name of the event you ask? It is called November Faire. Where you ask?? It is at the (you know it, you love it, you can find your way there blindfolded) WoW site in Hattiesburg, MS
There will be two A&S Faires – a regional Faire based on Kingdom standards and a November Faire where the entrants will get to judge each other in their category. Everyone gets a chance to participate. So get those projects ready.
