The Historic Military Establishment of Upper Canada is proud to announce that after a one year hiatus the Living History Conference and Trade Show will be returning to the Doubletree International Plaza Hotel in Toronto, Ontario on March 2nd and 3rd 2007.
The schedule is similar to the 2005 conference with a pub social on Friday night including period music, period games, a history trivia contest as well as a great evening to reacquaint yourself with old and hopefully meet some new friends. Saturday will feature our key note speaker Rick Green and 20 seminars to choose from being led by your fellow friends and peers on various historical topics covering times periods from the French & Indian War to World War I. The tournament will start with a Bar Room Brawl, so bring your most creative weapons. The tournament will be a standard double elimination. The List will open at 9:30, Armor Inspection should start at 10:00am with Invocation starting at 10:30 with the melee following. There will be 3 shields up for grabs, 1 as the tournament prize and two for auction.

The Houston Stickfighting Association will be at it again for the first of quarterly scheduled combative events featuring martial artists of all "stick-based" fighting styles and NOT LIMITED TO, the Filipino MA systems, but also open to Japanese, Okinawan, Chinese, Thai also including European-style MAists.

The Shire of Bosenberg (located in the South West of Western Australia) is hosting the inaugural Lochac Kubb Championship on Saturday the 17th of March. It is our hope that this will become a much loved Lochac tradition.
Kubb is a Viking throwing Game which consists of trying to hit your
opponent’s wooden blocks with a wooden baton. It is a lot of fun and even
beginners will have a chance to shine on the day.

A great Warlord tournament, on two separate battlefields, will begin the days fighting to decide the leaders of the Lancaster & the York forces. All 17 WotR battles will then be fought to decide the wars’ victor. Historical notations will herald the beginning of each battle. Fighters sides will be chosen at random by lot {white or red rose stickers for their helm} – Unequal ranks & placement will be managed by the direction of The Marshals before the first battle begins.
One and all are invited to Settmour Swamp to celebrate with us as Their Majesties Lucan and Yana invest Alexander MacGregor and Rhiannon de Licorne as our new Baron and Baroness!
Mudthaw will feature a wide variety of activities: tournaments in Armored Combat, Rapier, and Youth Combat, Archery, Thrown Weapons, and an array of Fine Merchants. Artisans can enter their works in a Competition with the theme of "Heraldry", in addition to an Exhibit for anyone who would like to display completed or in-progress work. We will sate your appetites with a lunch dayboard and a grand feast, cooked by Wilhelm van Utrecht, in the evening. Their Majesties will hold Royal Court, along with the final Court of Baron Teric and Baroness Paigan, and the first Court of Alexander and Rhiannon. The event will conclude with dancing to the music of the Bhakaili Branslers!
Come join us for a wonderful day of heraldry and scribal arts taught by Northshield's finest! Bring your personal and group's heraldic banner, books, illuminations, and any heraldic/scribal crafts (tablet woven belts, blackwork, etc...) to display and share in a “show and tell” session! There will also be a full day of children's activities.

and sciences, so that the best of us can be selected as the Protectors of Insulae Draconis for the coming year.

Friday night Their Highnesses will host a Hafla (Middle Eastern dance party) to welcome those who choose to attend. Saturday evening They will also host a party on the List Field to celebrate Their Heirs. So come and camp in the beautiful lands of the Mists!

Look out! It's the Gauls! They are taking over Fool's Revel. Yes, it's all things Gaulish at the Revel this year. Time for a bit of Roman bashing and feasting on wild boar. There'll be the magic potion / super power Tourney for the fighters; a Worst Bard contest during feast; and in the spirit of looking for new Heralds, your Baronial Herald is sponsoring a Contest! Isabel de la Haye will bring a "ceremony" that will read by contestants COLD. Points will be awarded for Best Pronouncement (what you say) – Best Inflection (how you say it) – Best Projection (how well you make it heard) – and how enjoyable you make your spiel! Other contests include: Asterix & Obelix Jeopardy! (Brush up on your Gaulish facts and trivia!) And the A&S competition: best small box (under 12") in any mode.

The Starkhafn School of Defense will be offering a Rapier Practicum on March 31 and April 1, 2007 in Starkhafn. The Practicum will be held at the Nevada State Museum and Historical Society in Lorenzi Park, 700 Twin Lakes Drive, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89107. The site will open at 8:00 Saturday morning and close at 5:00, followed immediately by a Social evening at the Museum. The site will open again at 8:00 on Sunday morning, with classes running until 2:00. Instructors will be drawn from Caid, Artemisia and Atenveldt, as well as the West, the Midrealm and An Tir.
Welcome good gentles and come rest yourself from your long winter's Journey at the "Chanticleer" Tavern. Where you can regale your fellow pilgrims and travelers with tales from far off lands as you enjoy our hearty tavern fare prepared by our own Margaret Makafee. If you wish just to pass a quiet day, there will be a selection of Tavern games you can play, or you might just sit and enjoy listening to the tales
