The Barony of Rowany invites you to celebrate the Festive season with them in grand style. In the tradition of the Italian renaissance we will be doing what we do best, re-enacting the past. As we are fascinated by the middle ages so were the 15th century Italians fascinated by the Roman age. So get out your best Italian frock and top it with a toga.
Come on down to Tear Sea's Shore for a day of fighting, fun and feasting for the annual Feast of St. Andrew. This will be a lovely little event to celebrate the holiday season and what better way then to spend it with friends.
Martial Activities: For the martially inclined, there will be the traditional Great Weapons and Mass weapons tourney. The marshal tells me a bear pit tourney will follow to make sure everyone has enough fighting for their tastes. A Round Robin tourney will tempt the rapier fighters on this glorious day.

We bring you tidings of Yule in the Barony of Seagirt, which will happen on Saturday, December 8th. There are many changes this year, least of which is the location.
Yule will be held at Luxton Hall, at the fairgrounds in Langford, BC, a suburb of Victoria (directions will appear later on the website). Also, to celebrate the 50th birthday of our own Baron James, there will be a Baron's Birthday Tourney held that day, as well as a Games Tourney (for those who don't fight but wish to compete for His Excellency's entertainment!). We will also have a Feast, a Pageant, Tavern, Horse Racing, Cleavage Contest for the fairer sex (Baron James has stated that male cleavage is not fair) and many other fine activities.
Good Gentles, from the fierce skalds of the north to the horseman of the Mongols, come enjoy the hospitality of Loch Salann for Solstice Court.
Join us for a persona revel on December 8 of 2007. Bring everything that draws your
interest and share it as we celebrate the return of the sun and winters downswing. A
most delicious feast will be prepared by Lord Darius.
The season of warmth is at its end and the gentle white blanket of winter prepares to claim its place in the cool pines surrounding the Shire of Granite Mountain. All are invited to draw nigh and sit by the warm hearth of friendship and witness the challenges of the day.
A gathering of friends and kin would not be complete without food and drink. Let us feast in elegance! A bounty of beast, fowl and earth's delights will be prepared by the feast steward, Lady Annalena Gianetta dei Medici da Vicinza. Volunteers for entertainment between courses will be greatly appreciated, please contact the autocrat to
The holidays are coming, and so is the Annual Beaconsgate Boar Hunt. We will be at our traditional site, Camp Herms. In addition to the Hunt during the day, we will have many activities within the hall (dancing, singing, music, games) for non-fighters and tired fighters. Please plan to bring something for your lunch if you are coming on site early.
For those of you who may not know, a Boar Hunt is a fighting activity, with fighters armed with two maces playing the part of the Boar. Hunters are armed with spears, and hounds with daggers. There are also unarmored dogs, who seek out the boars and bark when they are discovered -- this can be a great role for a mature child accompanied by a responsible adult. If there is enough interest (and a qualified volunteer marshal), we may add a hunt for rapier fighters.
Please join the Baron and Baroness of Eskalya in welcoming the New Year at our Yule celebration December 8, 2007. The site will open at 11am with opening court held at noon. A full feast will be presented, including drink; menu will follow. Space is limited so you must RSVP and pre pay for feast no later than November 25, 2007. No feast gear will be necessary; the populace need only bring a drinking vessel and eating utensils.
