The International Mead Festival (an event through the International Mead Association) is the worlds' largest and most prestigious mead competition and festival. This event hosts both a public tasting of commercial meads and a private judging of commercial and homemade mead entries.

All are welcome to compete for prizes and favors from this secluded town on the Welsh border.

The Shire of Port Oasis invites all lovers and fighters to the 12th Annual Tournament of the White Hart, February 22 -24, 2008, at the Cabell County 4-H Camp (6040 Booten Creek Road, Barboursville, WV, 25504).
The event will feature the traditional heavy weapons tournament emphasizing love and chivalry. Other activities of the day will include fencing, an Arts and Sciences competition, archery, children's activities, and more. The event will open at 6 p.m. on Friday and close at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

Martial Activities:
Armored and rapier fighting will take place in the Equestrian Barn throughout the day. This is an enclosed building, but dress for warmth.
The Shire of Anglespur, the Jewel of the East, is pleased to host this year’s King’s and Queen’s Bardic Championship! Bards, Singers, Musicians and Storytellers from all over the East Kingdom are invited to come and share their talents in this illustrious competition.
The Bardic Competition is to be divided into three rounds. Please note that the theme of the event is "Heroes of the Empire," and Their Majesties wish to hear songs, tales, and poems of the East Realm's greatest men and women. Also we would remind the bards that Their Majesties will be basing their decision on all three rounds.
The drums of war can be heard droning in the East. Dust off your armor and come to Windhaven to learn the arts of war from Northshield's best at the premier winter fighting event in Northshield.

The Barony of Thescorre is pleased to announce The College of Three Ravens to be held on February 23, 2008, at the Western Presbyterian Church, 101 East Main Street, Palmyra, NY (phone: 315-597-9171). The hall opens at 9 AM and closes at 9 PM. The site is very dry, non-smoking & all flames must be enclosed. The site is not handicapped accessible.
