I am proud and happy to announce that Bardic Madness XVIII will take place on the weekend of April 25-27 in Phelps, WI, hosted by the Shire of Mistig Waetru in honor of their 20th anniversary, and co-hosted by the Shire of Skerrjastrond! Details are sketchy at this time, but you can expect all the fun, challenges, and inspiration that have become legendary at Bardic Madness. The site is a K-12 school in Phelps, WI.

Yes it’s that time of year again! The Barony March of Mons Tonitrus is hosting its annual Barmaids event at the Lower Garden Canyon site on Ft. Huachuca. Trees, shade, babbling brooks (maybe) and competitions with prizes are available for all!

Saturday morning will see Opening Court at 9:00 followed by armor inspection. Prizes will be contested in both Armored and Rapier scenarios "in the tavern" as well as weird weapons (Rapier and Armored) and of course The Barmaid competition! Following the conclusion of the tavern tourneys we will begin the "Boar Hunt" in the forest for those armored fighters who just can’t get enough stick time. Saturday late afternoon will also see a Siege Engine accuracy demonstration. Come fire a bolt high into the sky for a small donation to the American Cancer Society.

Celebrate the four years of dedication that our Baron and Baroness, Guillaume and Rowen, have given to Hidden Mountain. Join us for the Hidden Mountain Hafla -- a grand middle eastern style party featuring middle eastern music and A&S. A sideboard of delicious food prepared by Hidden Mountain's youngest head cook, Amanda Rebellina will be served all day. The fighters will have one more opportunity to test their skills and to honor Baroness Rowen and Baron Guillaume.

Join us to celebrate the Coronation of Aaron and Rustique! A full day of activities is planned, including the Coronation itself (Court at 11am), dancing on the 1800 square foot dance floor, a lunch table presented by Baron Petreus and Lady Maria Katharina, heavy weapons, fencing, youth combat, archery and thrown weapons tourneys (please note ALL martial activities will be outside, no matter the weather. Be prepared!). A wonderful Eastern European feast is being prepared by Lady Yllaria. The site is licensed, please no BYOB as per Ontario law. No open flames or pets, please. Feast and Merchant reservations and allergen inquiries will be accepted until April 18th.
