Come one come all to the 30th anniversary of the Shire of Arenal celebrated at Arabian Nights this July 4th and 5th, in Pensacola FL. This year's theme is A Mongol's Paradise XXXanadu! We are focusing on the melding of cultures resulting from the Mongol invasion of the Arabs in the 13th century.

The Shire will be holding their annual Archery Tournament (We ask you bring your own Archery equipment), and Heavy Tournament to determine our Shire Champions. In addition, we will also be holding Rapier fighting and scenarios as well. All tournaments are open to all paid members of the SCA. Blue card must be available upon request. Our MoAS is also holding a Defender of the Arts tournament for Rapier fighters. Fighters must bring and display an Arts and Science project to enter.? A prize will be awarded to the winner of this tourney.

Shire of Gryffyn's Keep (Murrysville, Pennsylvania)
On Saturday July 12, 2008 Count Duncan von Halstern and Countess Ilish O'Donovan will be hosting a regional fight practice on their newly acquired land, sponsored by the Shire of Stormsport (1219 Lake St. Lake City, Pa 16423).
The days activities will start at 10am and end around 6pm. Please feel free to bring your day shades and a picnic lunch, water and gatorade will be provided. Although we will not be having children's activities, we have a large back yard for playing in.
Children of the Knowne Worlde unite! This event is dedicated to you! No standing on the sidelines and watching the adults play, it's your turn! There will be Youth Boffer, A&S, Heraldry and Bardic Competitions, as well as classes/activities for all ages! There will be a modest dayboard throughout the day, and no feast. AND, because they were SO WELL BEHAVED last year, under your direct supervision we will allow your parents and guardians to accompany you throughout the day.

Sharpen your quills and mark in your calenders that the sixth Cudgel War will be held at the traditional site in Kavalahti, Inkoo from 18th to 27th of July, 2008. Once again it is time to sweat on the battle field, fighting hard to end the oppression and then to cool down either in the lake or with a cold drink or a few.
For the heavy fighters we have several tourneys, including the (in)famous Nordic 1000, three days of war, plus plenty of structured fighter practices organized by Sir Siegfried and Sir GrimR. Of course we also have fencing, archery, arts and sciences as well as unforgettable sauna parties that last until the morning or beyond.
Calling all Vikings! It's time once again to set up our Viking Village at
the Annual Jamestown Scandinavian Folk Festival. We would love to have as
many people as possible join us in celebrating all things Viking!
This year we continue to work toward having more hands on Viking age
activities and demonstrations. There will be prizes for best period display
and best Viking garb.
Last chance to practice before Pennsic! The shire of Eisental is once again hosting an East Kingdom War Camp at the Ukranian Homestead in Lehighton PA. There will be heavy weapons melee using the war scenarios, as well as archery, fencing, and thrown weapons. We also have space for siege weapons and gunnery. No organized children's activities are planned.

In the name of Baron Jehan, all gentles are invited to attend the Archery and Thrown Weapons Competitions for the Barony of Carolingia on Saturday, July 19th, 2008 (rain date: Sunday, July 20th). During the day, the mighty archers and weapons throwers of Carolingia will compete to choose the best among them for the Baron's Champion.

Northkeep will be hosting an all day war practice Saturday, July 19th at Haikey Creek Park in Tulsa OK off 121th and south Garnet. We will have a shelter reserved for all day from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. This gathering is open to all our friends and neighbors (at least those not attending Queen's Champion that weekend).
We can do a cook out/pot-luck lunch. People can bring meat to grill, side dishes, salads, and desserts to share.

Sharpen your quills and mark in your calenders that the sixth Cudgel War will be held at the traditional site in Kavalahti, Inkoo from 18th to 27th of July, 2008. Once again it is time to sweat on the battle field, fighting hard to end the oppression and then to cool down either in the lake or with a cold drink or a few.
For the heavy fighters we have several tourneys, including the (in)famous Nordic 1000, three days of war, plus plenty of structured fighter practices organized by Sir Siegfried and Sir GrimR. Of course we also have fencing, archery, arts and sciences as well as unforgettable sauna parties that last until the morning or beyond.
Calling all Vikings! It's time once again to set up our Viking Village at
the Annual Jamestown Scandinavian Folk Festival. We would love to have as
many people as possible join us in celebrating all things Viking!
This year we continue to work toward having more hands on Viking age
activities and demonstrations. There will be prizes for best period display
and best Viking garb.
Last chance to practice before Pennsic! The shire of Eisental is once again hosting an East Kingdom War Camp at the Ukranian Homestead in Lehighton PA. There will be heavy weapons melee using the war scenarios, as well as archery, fencing, and thrown weapons. We also have space for siege weapons and gunnery. No organized children's activities are planned.
