After ten years of war about the claim of a legendary treasure which was never found, the Barony of Knights Crossing and the shire of Meadowmarsh have agreed to settle the struggle and to keep peace so both lands may prosper and grow to extend the kings wealth and power.
Journey to the Crusades will be coming on September 19-21, 2008 to Pleasant Grove in Palmyra, Virginia. There will be a Central War Practice along with rapier, lots and lots of archery (with an archery target competition), youth armored combat, and cavalry with tournaments and jousting. There will be other A&S competitions as well.

This year we are reopening our fun-filled tavern, complete with the return of board games, card games and of course - gambling! Throughout the day you will find classes and fighting scenarios designed to entertain both the fighters and spectators. As always, the centerpiece of the event will be the traditional Red Tower Tournament!
It is a time of strength and peace in the Barony of Raven's Fort. Though chorded remnants of once happy dwellings dot her out lying lands, there has been no sighting of the Viking raiders for almost a year and harvest is well under way. No doubt, this time of healing is the fruit of the Kingdom's great victory over the barbarians, stopping last year's assaults.
The scribes thus recorded, The northmen sail'd in their nailed ships, a dreary remnant, on the roaring sea; over deep water. Dublin they sought, and Ireland's shores, in great disgrace. They left behind them raw to devour, the sallow kite, the swarthy raven with horny nib, and the hoarse vulture, with the to consume his prey; the greedy gos-hawk, and that gray beast the wolf. No slaughter yet was greater made e'er in this island?? Even the dour mission bells toll somehow lighter in a new hope for tomorrow.
Join us in the country. Camp on soft grass under trees, observe the ducks on the lake, watch banners flutter in the breeze, and hear the sound of arrows coursing through the air as we turn our attentions to the honorable and celebrated discipline of archery -- the sport of monarchs and tool of war and recreation.
This teaching event has classes for the Archer, Bowyer and Fletcher. There are also Ithra Core and other unique classes. Participate in activities such as archery novelty shoots and royal rounds.
We are happy to announce that the Golden Tygre Tavern will be opening for business again this September. This year Baron Steffan ap Kennydd of Silverwing has graciously offered to sponsor a tournament in the style of a Pas d'armes.
On a hard day of fighting (and watching your favorite fighters), all are sure to need refreshment and distraction. The Landlady of the Golden Tygre Tavern (Lady Adeliade Wanderer) welcomes you. Anyone who has patronized the Tavern before will tell you that the Tavern Keeper (Lord Johan Wanderer) provides a fare that is hearty and appetizing, and a roaring fire if the weather is chilly. The day will be filled with social entertainments, such as period games and A&S classes on mask making and dance. In the evening there will be a Russian feast prepared by Anton Barsuk. Our artisans have worked hard and we have dipped into to our coffers in order to present grand gifts to our champions. The evening feast will prove a glorious event in it's self. There will be a choice of three meats, several seasonal side dishes and a tasty sweet to finish. After all the tedious chores of feasting are done, there will be a bardic around a toasty fire. Come join our company, share our camaraderie, warm yourself by our fire. All are invited to attend and are most welcome.

On the October Long Weekend the Barony of Mordenvale will open up it lands once again so that those who are inclined may wage war amongst themselves, preferably on the war field. The event is a fully catered event and will also include a wonderful assortment of merchants, arts and sciences as well as tavern and coffee house.

There is unrest in the shire of Juneborg. The dispute over the estate granted by the King continues. Who is the rightful owner? Is it true that the winner of last year’s war signed away the rights to a loyal general from his side? It seems we must once again settle this cause on the field of honour with swords and axes. For the more peaceful people there will be classes, workshops and arts and science exhibition as well as a bazaar where items pass from one owner to another. On Saturday a great feast will be served to the hungry and to the survivors. Please bring your banners to help decorate the feast hall.
On the Day of St Francis, there will be a Fair and Tournament in the fair Shire of Polderslot. Since our shire is rich in offspring (ages 1- 12) our event will be fun for all ages. The aim is to do medieval things that we can all do together, and that are as interesting for the adults as for the children, like decorating your own badge with (safe) medieval paint, learning a new dance or helping to prepare feast.
This event is intended to be a fun get together of people interested in the Arts and Sciences to share and learn about different types of Arts and Sciences and get ideas and feed back. This is not an Arts and Sciences competition but instead a forum of sorts to learn, teach, and share with each other. There will also be a fighting demo on Friday where we hope to have both rapier and heavy fighting. This will be on the University of Minnesota campus and is intended to get the attention of students and show off the fun things we do.
Please come and help us celebrate our 20th anniversary with a weekend full of oriental delights and fights. Friday night starts the festivities with gaming, wonderful ambience and an oriental wayfarers.
When the moon sets and the sun rises, warriors can prepare for battle with a hearty breakfast provided by Sir Savogg and his lady wife Baroness Enowyn. Much strength and prowess will be needed to win the tourney and become Sol Haven’s traditional “Defender of the Sun”. Once our defender is established, the art of war will continue with melee excursions throughout the afternoon.

The Shire of Glynn Rhe is hosting Wine List XIX October 3-5, 2008 at Cumberland Center in Columbia, TN. The event is very fighter-oriented, but does have something for those who enjoy making or tasting period adult beverages. In a twist on traditional A & S competitions, the team that wins the Wine List melee tourney will judge the event's only A & S contest and determine who has provided the "Best Period Adult Beverage."
Years have come and gone since the last war. The Dragon Spore has piled high, creating an ungodly stench. We cannot abide by this any longer, it is time to decide who must clean up the mess.
With Estrella War coming up, come down and get in some practice for it, at the same time have it mean something. Fight and Fence until you drop. There will be many melees and Tourney's throughout the day to help decide the winners, the losers will be chosen for the Stinking Desert clean up crew for the next year. Their job will be to clean up the mounds of Dragon Spore that have accumulated. Then Join us that evening in Celebrating the end of the harvest, by rejoicing in the bounty presented before us, and prepare for the upcoming Winter with good people and good cheer. On the Day of St Francis, there will be a Fair and Tournament in the fair Shire of Polderslot. Since our shire is rich in offspring (ages 1- 12) our event will be fun for all ages. The aim is to do medieval things that we can all do together, and that are as interesting for the adults as for the children, like decorating your own badge with (safe) medieval paint, learning a new dance or helping to prepare feast.
This event is intended to be a fun get together of people interested in the Arts and Sciences to share and learn about different types of Arts and Sciences and get ideas and feed back. This is not an Arts and Sciences competition but instead a forum of sorts to learn, teach, and share with each other. There will also be a fighting demo on Friday where we hope to have both rapier and heavy fighting. This will be on the University of Minnesota campus and is intended to get the attention of students and show off the fun things we do.
Please come and help us celebrate our 20th anniversary with a weekend full of oriental delights and fights. Friday night starts the festivities with gaming, wonderful ambience and an oriental wayfarers.
When the moon sets and the sun rises, warriors can prepare for battle with a hearty breakfast provided by Sir Savogg and his lady wife Baroness Enowyn. Much strength and prowess will be needed to win the tourney and become Sol Haven’s traditional “Defender of the Sun”. Once our defender is established, the art of war will continue with melee excursions throughout the afternoon.

The Shire of Glynn Rhe is hosting Wine List XIX October 3-5, 2008 at Cumberland Center in Columbia, TN. The event is very fighter-oriented, but does have something for those who enjoy making or tasting period adult beverages. In a twist on traditional A & S competitions, the team that wins the Wine List melee tourney will judge the event's only A & S contest and determine who has provided the "Best Period Adult Beverage."
Years have come and gone since the last war. The Dragon Spore has piled high, creating an ungodly stench. We cannot abide by this any longer, it is time to decide who must clean up the mess.
With Estrella War coming up, come down and get in some practice for it, at the same time have it mean something. Fight and Fence until you drop. There will be many melees and Tourney's throughout the day to help decide the winners, the losers will be chosen for the Stinking Desert clean up crew for the next year. Their job will be to clean up the mounds of Dragon Spore that have accumulated. Then Join us that evening in Celebrating the end of the harvest, by rejoicing in the bounty presented before us, and prepare for the upcoming Winter with good people and good cheer. In addition to the glorious displays by our talented Kingdom to enjoy and envy, there will be dancing, a chess tournament, and many other surprises to entertain you. Dancing will be taught and lead by the ever so graceful and patient Mistress Jehanne le feu du Christ. Our Chess Champion has issued a challenge to all, and there will be prizes.
