The Shire of West Dragonshire invites you to attend Drachenwald’s Kingdom University, where knowledge will be shared in the heart of William the Conqueror’s Royal Hunting Grounds, the aptly named New Forest.
There are 64 bunk beds in two nearby buildings (32 beds per building), with additional crash space available. Showers and toilets are located in both buildings. All bunks come with a mattress, pillow and blanket, but sleeping bags are advised. Limited camping is available. Information regarding nearby b&bs and hotels will be available soon. Saturday the 15th will be a day of classes and workshops devoted to fabric, string, and their glorious arts. Melee and tournament combat engagements in a medieval style will be organized by Thorvaldr Frithsamr. Head cook Aurora Nicola will be providing an Icelandic feast. The site opens at 2PM on Friday, and closes at noon on Sunday.

The day will offer fun and merriment to all peoples of Ansteorra and many questions will be answered on this day. Who will be The Axeman of Skorragarðr? Who will be our next Rapier Champion? There will be a grand archery competition to determine the next Archer of Skorragarðr, as well as, as thrown weapons championship. In the grand feast hall, there will be an Arts and Science competition and after the sun kisses the horizon we will gather round the fire to determine our Titled Skald.
We would like to cordially invite you to a Culinary Symposium for those with any interest in historical food. There will be everything from hands on
cooking over fire, feast planning and preparation, to research presentations. This event will be held in AnTir, in the Barony of Dragon's Laire (Belfair, Washington) the weekend of November 14-16, 2008.

Armour inspection starts at 11.30am for Rapier and 2.30pm for Heavy

Come down to the Canton of Tear Sea's Shore for a day of fighting, fun
and feasting for the annual Feast of St. Andrew. This will be a lovely event to celebrate the holiday season and what better way than to spend it with your SCA family.
Martial Activities:
A full day of fighting is planned. Three rounds of
fighting. The First round is Mass Weapon and shield in the tradition of the
Scots. Extra points will be given for use of anything other than a sword. The

Two great haunted Doges and their allies match wits in 15th-century Florentine style, plotting in contests of Sword, Rapier, and Chess to win the day and be hailed as "The Most Mighty, Cultured, Cunning and, uhh... Frightening City-State."
This is a combined Tournaments and Dance event. There will be heavy, rapier, and chess tournaments as well as dancing all day, and a Masquerade Dance Ball through the evening. Everyone is encouraged to bring masks to add to the ambiance. We planned this event soon after Halloween for a reason!
The Holiday Season approaches, and as we all prepare for the long winter months we need to lay in supplies for the festivities to come. We need to SHOP!!!
Come and join the Barony of Stierbach and all the wonderful merchants to get your 12th Night shopping done! The finest merchants in Atlantia, and a few from far places, will gather to display their wares for your shopping pleasure!
Tired of shopping? Want something to do while your Lord or Lady is shopping? Then come out and enjoy a host of other activities. We will have Archery (this is Stierbach), both Heavy and Rapier fighting, and thrown weapons for you to test your martial mettle. There will be an A&S competition, a Silent Auction to benefit the barony, and a fundraiser luncheon. In addition, we will have an Equestrian ground crew class.
This is a free event benefiting the Blue Star Mothers in San Juan County, but a suggested donation of $5 for adult, $2 for kids 12 and under, and children 5 and under are free. Donation of items from the Mother’s List instead of cash is also very welcome.

The Honorable Barony of Dragon's Laire sends greetings and due commendations to all of An Tir, and especially to the Baronies and Principalities whom we greet with a challenge. That is correct. The Gauntlet has been thrown and you have all, all citizens, noble and commoner alike, been challenged to come and show your mettle in our first annual Toys for Tots Tournament November 22nd at Manchester State Park.
