Calling all archers of the Kingdom of Caid! By the grace of the Barony of the Angels, the Barony of Lyondemere is pleased to bring you Fall Queen's Champion Archery, in honor of Kolfinna II, on Sunday November 23, 2008.
This season's tournament in honor of our new Queen will be challenging. Set in a forest-like setting beside Pasadena, the Roving Range has a variety of distances to shoot. We will challenge and delight all archers with lanes that vary from 15 feet to 70 yards. We will only be shooting 4 arrows in each lane, but bring extra arrows.
It is that time of year once again that we all come together and help those

The name of the event is 'Winter Weasel Wonderland', so...guess what it is all themed on...no, not wonderland...WEASELS!!!
Competitions include: the Baronial Bardic Competition, the Baronial Arts and Sciences Competition, Table Decorating Competition, Subtlety Competition, Best Weasel in any Medium, and the Best use of a Weasel in a Costume.
The season of warmth is at its end and the gentle white blanket of winter prepares to claim its place in the cool pines surrounding the Northlands. All are invited to draw nigh and sit by the warm hearth of friendship and witness the challenges of the day.

The holidays are coming, and so is the Annual Beaconsgate Boar Hunt. We will be at our traditional site, Camp Herms. This year, we celebrate our Midwinter alongside the Dnieper River, in the beautiful seat of the Rurikid rulers, Kiev. The delegation from Constantinople has come up to visit the Kievan Princes, as well as various envoys from Scandinavia to conduct trade negotiations.
Good friends, on this day in the fall of 1274 on the island of Tsushima (off the coast of Japan), we are about to witness historic events. The Mongols are prepared to invade Japan, and the negotiations and banquet today are an attempt to forestall the invasion. A wealthy Japanese lord has laid on an amazing day of festivities, highlighted by a feast guaranteed to delight all guests!
In honor of the attendees, the feast will feature courses of Mongol and Chinese cuisine, in addition to Japanese. Unfortunately, these important negotiations are destined to be marred by murder(s) most foul! But this is more than a stage play, and you dear friends are more than honored guests. We are counting on you to answer the age old questions “Whodunit?” and “why”? At the end of the afternoon, each guest will be asked to fill out a sheet of paper describing their interpretation of the mystery, and who the culprit(s) is(are). After evaluating the detectives’ work, the murderer(s) will be hauled off in chains to face the Emperor’s Justice, and the detective who solved the crime most correctly will win a prize.
