London police have announced the recovery of Madonna with the Yarnwinder, a painting by Leonardo da Vinci stolen four years ago from Drumlanrig Castle in southern Scotland.
The masterpiece, valued at over US$60 million, was tracked down by Scottish police and national agencies with the help of the public, according to lead investigator, Detective Chief Inspector Mickey Dalgleish. |
