Viking blood common in northwest England

Science Daily reveals that a new study by The University of Nottingham, the University of Leicester and University College London proves that Viking bloodlines are still common in the residents of Northwest England.
The scientists looked at DNA from men with surnames that were in existence in medieval times, searching for evidence of Viking ancestry, and found that nearly 50 percent of those studied had Norse origins. |
