Akron man arrested after using sword to rob video store

As far as we know, the man arrested in Akron, Ohio on Tuesday for using a sword to rob a Video Time rental store is not associated with the SCA. Police say 19 year old Jessie Bailey used a "family heirloom" sword to rob US$168 from the cashier.
In addition to the store's surveillance cameras, the robbery was observed by several witnesses. Witnesses allegedly followed Bailey out of the store and observed him entering a house down the street, which location they then pointed out to police. According to police, Bailey confessed to the robbery during questioning. No injuries have been reported. |
