Italian Renaissance Textiles at the Lyon Museum of Textiles, France

The Lyon Museum of textiles and decorative arts is holding an exhibition of Italian renaissance textiles, open until 7 September 2008.

The exhibition includes some exquisite examples of renaissance textiles, including rare black fabrics and cut velvets. There is a small catalogue of the exhibition in print ISBN : 978-2-35740-001-6.

The museum was created by the Lyon Chamber of Commerce in 1864 and is located in the 17th century Villeroy Mansion, 34 rue de la Charité F-69002 Lyon.
