[DRA] St Francis' Day Fair

description:
On the Day of St Francis, there will be a Fair and Tournament in the fair Shire of Polderslot. Since our shire is rich in offspring (ages 1- 12) our event will be fun for all ages. The aim is to do medieval things that we can all do together, and that are as interesting for the adults as for the children, like decorating your own badge with (safe) medieval paint, learning a new dance or helping to prepare feast.

The tournament will be in the afternoon. Since this is St Francis' Day, there will also be a prize for the fighter with the best animal crest.

We will bring out all our heraldic decoration for the hall (with medieval tavern in the evening) and tournament field, and dress ourselves and the event in 14th century style. All who can join us in doing so will contribute to a great looking event! Finally, on St Francis Day, you can expect animals to turn up in unexpected places!

The site has two large sleeping halls with bunk beds. Please bring your own sheets, pillowcases and sleeping bags. There is also space for tents. Site opens Friday October 3rd, 18.00 h and closes on Sunday, Octobre 5th at 12.00 h.

Adult event including feast EUR 35,-
Adult daytrip EUR 20,-
Children under 3: free, if they sleep in their own cot. If they sleep on a bed: EUR 8 per night
Children 4-12 EUR 22,-
Children 4-12 daytrip EUR 10,00

Reservations can be made at: www.bertrick.nl/stfrancisday.html If you reserve after Octobre 1st we cannot guarantee you feast.

Coming from the east, get on A67 towards Eindhoven. Take exit 36 Asten/Deurne. Take the 3rd exit off the roundabout (Floralaan). Take the first right. At the T-intersection turn right. Pass under the road and turn left. Follow this road past a crossing and a campground. Just before the end of the forest turn right (there will be a sign). If you're out of the forest and pass a farm you've gone too far.
