Raul Cano, a scientist at the California Polytechnic State University, has brewed beer using the 45 million year old yeast from a Lebanese weevil trapped in amber.
Cano has extracted more than 2,000 kinds of yeast and, so far, has brewed barrels of beer from pale ale and German wheat beer. The brew is being marketed by the Fossil Fuels Brewing Company. |
