Twelve-ton ballista fails to sell on e-Bay

Just in time for Christmas, but no buyers! eBay had listed a full-size Roman ballista created in 2002 for the BBC program Building the Impossible. No buyer met the reserve starting bid of UK£25,000.00!

Since the ballista is a full-sized replica and weighs 12 tons, it would need to be erected by the team at the buyer's site for an additional UK£17,500.

Although the sale is over, the eBay page is worth a visit because the description includes a video of the siege engine in action.
