Archaeologists Hope to Uncover History of Cologne

A massive archaeological dig has begun in the German city of Cologne, where researchers hope to sift through 100,000 cubic meters of soil in search of the city's past.
Known as Colonia in Roman times, the city has been a prosperous center since that era. Now archaeologists will have the chance to dig 13 meters deep through many time periods in search of artifacts that will tell the city's story. |
