The battered door of London's Westminster Abbey has been named the oldest in Britain by English Heritage.
According to recent research, the Abbey's door dates to the 11th century and the reign of Edward the Confessor. The door was once thought to have been covered with flayed human skin, a theory that has since been debunked. |
