A draft of a proposal to allow the study of Historic Swordsmanship techniques
for heavy and light SCA fighting is now online.
A draft of a proposal for new techniques for non-competitive fighting in the
SCA is available online for comment. The Historic Swordsmanship Study would
allow re-enactors to try out techniques such as wrestling and blunt weapons handling
in a controlled, non-armored setting. The guidelines are intended for study by
Kingdom Marshals to determine if the new techniques are safe.
