Gibson's Plantation View is 200+ acre partially wooded site used for annual Civil War battle reenactments. It is a tenting only site, with a shaded hilltop for camping, classes and other activites. The site features a shower house (8 showers with warm water) and hydrants are located in various places across the site. There's plenty of elbow room for fighting upon a vast rolling landscape as well as forest and open land for rapier/melee scenarios. Hotels are conveniently close for those who wish modern comforts.
Site will open at 3 p.m. Friday and close at noon on Sunday. Site is wet, no original containers, please.
Friday Night, enjoy a wonderful traveller's fare then sit back and watch and enjoy the Torchlight Tourneys - for adults and youth!
Saturday, armored fighters will enjoy a Swiss list tourney in the morning and Drighten Tourney in the afternoon. Swashbucklers will abound, settling duels in a variety of scenarios. Not one, but two Youth Combat Marshals will be on hand to guide and train the future warriors of our Kingdom.
Various fundraisers will be held, including a fundraiser lunch and a fundrasier for the Kingdom Discretionary Fund. For those who prefer sharp pointy things, look for a live weapons and archery tourney to be held in the afternoon. Classes will fill the day, so will children's activities.
MERCHANTS! - Come sell your goods with no-set up fee, plenty of shaded space to set up in!
Saturday evening, HE Elizabeth will serve up a fabulous meal in an open air setting - Feast will be served as the sun sets and torches are lit to create a fine Medieval dining atmosphere. Feast is limited to 85, so get your reservations in soon!
After feast, join in the party at the hafla around the firepit - all musicians, drummers and dancers welcome!
