Niebelungen Pity Party

Come one, come all, and mourn the great event that could not be this year in the only way possible--- with combat, combat, and more combat, melee style! From the 11th to 13th of August, the lovely countess Aurelia is opening her estate in Buedingen to us for our war-like mustering, and we will do combat, in styles both heavy and light, at the very walls of that city, ancient and fortified though they may be!

For those who would establish a camp, as is the tradition in war, there will be a meadow at your disposal, and for those who would seek shelter, the countess offers such (please reserve, as space is somewhat limited).

Basic details..
Cost:  This is a no cost event, no site fee will be charged for any attendees

Food:  None will be provided, but we will have fires burning (BBQ with charcoal) for your own attention.  So bring all your own food and drink.

Time:  Site opens at 19:00 Friday and Closes at 12:00 Sunday

Fighting Venue: The very medieval dry moat at the base of the very medieval walls of the 1000 year old city of Buedingen.  There will be heavy and light melee scenarios.

Sleeping/Camping:  There is tenting space and crash space available on site.

Reservations:  Not required for daytripping.  For those who wish to tent or crash please give the stewards a courtesy reservation for space allocation.

Directions:
A45 North from Hanau / South from Friedburg to exit 39 "Altenstadt ". Turn direction Buedingen.  You will follow this road to buedingen (passing through duedelsheim and bueches).  Once into buedingen continue to the traffic circle take the third exit with sign to altstadt.  Take the first major left (vogelsberg strasse).  About 300m on the left will be a small road ( An der K=E4lberbach) next a home oil station. If you pass a mercedes dealership you have gone to far.  The house is the first driveway on the right.
