Meridians rally to your Crown, warriors don harness and helm, hoist your banners, put on your household livery, grab your list tree shield, hold close the honor of your inspiration and attend. At this illustrious event we ask all to display their heraldry, shire banners and wear your Meridian best to cheer these honored combatants in a full day devoted to heavy combat. Children's Activities will be held during the day.
Come contest against the best of the Kingdom in Chivalric Combat! A special, faire-like occasion, a day of good natured, chivalric contests held in a pleasant, period atmosphere and viewed by a colorful gallery of spectators. Refreshments, both food and drink, will be served to the populace throughout the day. Meridian Grand Tournament will determine those fighters with the highest prowess, pageantry, and chivalry. This prestigious set of challenges will test the mettle of Meridies' best in many different styles of fighting sponsored by various orders. Winners in each style will proceed with selected others to meet on the Grand Field to determine the Grand Champion of Meridies. Lady Finna Halfdansdottir will be the Eric coordinator, contact her to reserve field space for your pavilion.
We encourage participants, consorts and spectators to bring your best pavilions, banners, and field displays, households come bedecked in your finest livery . We also encourage all to bring your artistry and enjoy this day of camaraderie both on and off the field of battle. In Chivalric fashion, all fighters are encouraged to bear a token of the gentle that inspires them to great deeds of arms. All Ladies are encouraged to bring a token and present it to a warrior to inspire them for the day. Fighters please bring your list tree shields so that all may know and honor those that contest on this field of valor.

8:00 A.M. – Armor inspection opens (available all day)
8:30 – Opening Ceremonies
8:45 – 9:30 am - Armatura – Sponsored by the Legion of the Bear
3 person, random team, Melee, limited field, bear
pit style. Winner
will be the individual with the most points at
the end of the time.
9:45 – 11:15 – Sabre Tournament – Sponsored by the Ladies of the Rose
Single Elimination Tournament - restricted to
one single handed
sword – no backups - no shields.
11:30-1:15 P.M–Open weapon Tournament – Sponsored by the Order of the
Chalice.
Open weapon style – Single Elimination
$20 entry fee, ALL proceeds go to a battered
woman's charity in
the winners geographical area.
1:30 – 2:15 – "Champions Tournament" – Sponsored by the Sable Sword.

those participants who have won a singles
tournament with at least
12 participants (no demos/practices) in the
year since the last
scheduled Meridian Grand Tournament
2:30 – 3:45 – Great Weapons Tournament – Co sponsored by the orders
of the
OVO and Bough.
Single Elimination Tournament restricted to
Great weapons. (4 –
7.5 ft overall length)
3:45 – Orders meet to determine chosen Champions
4:00 – Champions Process
4:15 - Grand Tournament – Sponsored by the Order of the Chivalry
The winners of the above tournaments will
advance to the Grand
Tournament, sponsored by the Order of
Chivalry, along with
others, chosen by the Populace. The winner
will earn the coveted
title of Grand Champion of the Meridian Grand
Tournament.

Sponsorship is not required to participate in the tournaments; all authorized fighters are welcome to participate. The Tournaments are sponsored by the orders, meaning during the time of their tournament, those orders are providing staff for their tournament, the prizes and scrolls for their tournament, and refreshments for the populace to be served during their tournament.
*Please note the Sable Sword tournament participants must meet the entry requirements listed for their tournament.

Nonmembers add $3
*$3 park pass required per vehicle must be purchased at troll.
Beds for 120
Camping, while allowed, is extremely limited to period tents without
floors only.

I-20 to exit 105 - Rutledge , Georgia. North at top of ramp onto Newborn Road toward Rutledge for 2.7 miles The road will "T", turn left onto W Dixie HWY. less than 0.1 miles Take an immediate right onto Fairplay St. and cross the railroad tracks (careful those with trailers). Go straight through town. And continue to follow this road into Hard Labor Creek State Park. 3 miles Turning right shortly after crossing the spillway (bridge). there is a sign for horse stables. for 0.5 miles The road will "Y" take the (left) dirt/gravel road, Once on the Gravel Road go 1.7 miles the road will become paved again, Welcome to Camp Rutledge SCA Signs will be posted, and the signs for Hard Labor Creek are well posted and visible.
