Time Team Seeks 12th Century Monastery in Edinburgh

Experts from Channel 4's Time Team have discovered the foundation of an ancient monastery beneath the manicured lawn of Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The show's presenters believe that a large, Augustinian 12th century abbey and monastery were located on the site. Archaeologists are also looking for Mary Queen of Scots tennis court, believed to lie in the same general area. |
