Conner Prairie is a 19th-century living-history site near Indianapolis, one of the best I've seen, and the contents of this set is based on its interpreters experiences, with help from such experts as Roy Underhill and Lynn Dierking. It is available in a limited supply. Although though it originated in 19th-century museum interpretation, the hints and discussions are not bound to that era..
Wow. The set is very nice and thought provoking. I rated it as 7 only because it is oriented toward a museum. Even if it isn't 100 percent useful for independent reenactors, but it is very thought provoking. I'm glad to see that, after nearly twenty years, my reactions are pretty good but in some ways purely instinctive. The disk is causing me to think harder about things I never really thought about before.
The DVD is well done; it's a pleasure to listen to Roy Underhill (he's so infectious). I haven't explored the CD (with supplemental articles in pdf form) beyond looking at a few articles.
A very worthwhile purchase, and useful for anyone who wants to interact with the public. Members of unit, wics and other groups would do well to pick up a copy and screen it at a unit meeting!
