The 60-centimeter-long, iron sword with a wooden grip was discovered at the burial site of an 18-year-old man, and is thought to be from the Niaosong culture period in Taiwan. The grave containing the sword was found near that of another burial site also containing a sword with the body. Iron utensils at that time were considered very precious.
