Their Majesties have honored the Barony of al-Barran by allowing us to host the spring crown tournament. It will be a glorious day for one and all.
The site is at the Moriarty Civic Center at 202 Broadway Moriarty New Mexico
which is 36 miles east of Albuquerque. Directions to the site are:
Take your best route to eastbound 1-40 in Albuquerque, New
Mexico. Head towards Moriarty (roughly 36 miles east of Albuquerque) and
take Exit 196 and head right at the stop sign, then go right again at the
first stoplight (west). After .2 miles, make a left on Broadway (next to the
post office). After .2 miles, the Civic Center is left a cross the street
from City Hall.
The site opens at 9am on March 10, 2007 and will close at 11pm on the same
day. The schedule of events is:
9am Setup
10am Opening Court/Crown Tournament
2pm Circles
5pm Feast - by THL Morris
9pm Clean Up
Final changes to the schedule will be announced at the event.
Site fee is $10 for adults, $5 for children (10 - 17 years of age), and free for chilren less than 10 years old. The fee for the feast will be $15 per person.
A local hotel to the event has offered a reduced rate for our guests from out of town. The Comfort Inn 119 Route 66 East (take exit 196 and the hotel is visible to your right on the main road) has offered a $55 for 1-2 people and $60 for 4.
