avidavid62 has posted an animated version of the Bayeux Tapestry on YouTube where the paintings actually move. The film was created by David Newton.

According to the YouTube description:

Animated version of the Bayeux Tapestry. Starts about halfway through the original work at the appearance of Halley's Comet and concludes at the Battle of Hastings in 1066.
