5th century Byzantine church found in Israel

A team of Israeli archaeologists working on a site near the city of Tiberias have discovered an ancient Byzantine church believed to date from the 5th century.
The remains of the structure include a floor with "mosaics decorated with geometric patterns and dedicatory inscriptions" containing the text "Our Lord (Jesus) protect the soul of your servant..." and with a large cross. |
