Sea Stallion reaches Ireland

After several serious set-backs, the Viking ship Sea Stallion has reached Dublin, Ireland. The ship, with its 65-member crew, left Denmark on July 1, 2007 for the historic voyage.
The original ship on which the Sea Stallion was based was built in Dublin in 1042 and sank 30 years later off the coast of Denmark. The ship recreated a Viking voyage to Ireland complete with the legendary bad weather of the Irish Sea. |
