Sad tidings have come from Meridies. Baron Sir Starhelm Warlocke (Michael F. Boelter) has passed away on June 25, 2008, of a heart attack while driving his truck near his home in Nashville, TN. His wife was able to get control of the vehicle and pull over.

American artist and author Tasha Tudor really did it, though her period was the 1830s rather than the middle ages or renaissance. Tasha Tudor died at home on June 18, 2008 at the age of 92, surrounded by family and friends (and presumably corgis).

Yang the Nauseating, modernly known as Robert Lynn Asprin, was a well-known science fiction and fantasy author. In the SCA, he was one of the early members and was the founder of the Great Dark Horde. Asprin, born in 1946, died peacefully on May 22 at his home.
