The great Baroness of Caerthe, Mary of Blackthorn has spent this long, cold winter dreaming of the great fighters of her realm. She sent a missive to the beautiful Baroness of Dragonsspine, Lydia of the Pines, to challenge her to a chess match at the first thaw. At the behest of their Excellencies, fighters will meet on the chessboard of battle to support their most excellent Baronesses. Each move on the chessboard by the baronesses will be fought on the tourney field by their fighters.

It has come to the attention of the Horn's current guardian that this marvelous and magical device has been whisked away to an otherworldly and fey castle in the sky. We need children of all ages to come and fetch it back for us. The stoutest of heart and mien will be granted the noble task of guarding our Horn for the coming year.

On May 22-26, the Canton of Hawk’s Hollow bids welcome to summers warm return and beckons all to gather with them at the Crossroads, otherwise known as the Quint Valley Fairgrounds in Byers, CO. Take the Kings Highway (I-25) to Exit 141 (US Highway 24 West) in Colorado Springs. Make a left onto Cimarron (Hwy 24 - West). Turn left at 21st St from Hwy 24 (second stoplight). Follow over the hill to Argus, where you turn right. The first right on Argus is the entrance to the park, and parking is at the entrance.

The list will open at 10am on Sunday, 1/27 at Baatan Park and lay on will happen at 11am. It is a donation minimum of 3$ to enter the tourney. Come bring your best weapons of choice and let the fun begin.
