This will be a team rapier event with treasure maps, hidden booty, ransoming, raiding and much fighting. Lyulf McDougal, Thug Boss, has created this scenario and has additional information. for questions.
The Coronation of Christopher Rawlyns and Morgen of Rye will be held on September 20th in the Shire of Heronter. In addition to the Last Court of
Khalek and Branwyn, and the Coronation and First Court of Christopher and
Morgen, the day will include tournaments to select the new Rapier Champion,
Youth Combat Champion, and a competition at which Christopher and Morgen
will select their Arts and Sciences Champion.
The Barony of Fenix and the Middle Kingdom are pleased to host the 2008 Known World Academy of the Rapier!
There will be classes for historical rapier combat, classes for SCA rapier combat, classes for A&S of interest to late-period personae, tournaments for all levels of skill and interest! There will be parties to meet and greet your fellow Courtiers. There will be a field trip to the Frazier Arms an Armory Museum - an official depository from the British Royal Armories.
The Romans sacrificed annually to Vulcan, god of fire, so that he would avert harmful fires from their crops. Vulcan is considered to be the manufacturer of armor for the gods and heroes; he also made the thrones for the other gods on Mount Olympus. Come join the Shire of Hrafnafjordr as we fight, feast, and build fire.
The tourneys will be gladiator style, with Roman weapons. Rapier is more than welcome. Arts and Science competition will be most creative fire (materials will be provided on site). Feast meat will be provided, please bring your favorite Roman dish to share. There is plenty room for camping.
Oh My. What a combo. Scribes come and work on your current projects or learn from some of the Kingdom's finest scribes. In attendance will be Mistress Antoinette de la Croix, Mistress Kris Gilibari, THL Gianna di Auriolo to name a few. For the Fighters and Fencers we have some fun things planned. New fighters and fencers this is the last scheduled event where you can authorize for Pennsic. We will have the marshals available and the appropriate paperwork.

No, we weren't just eaten by a monster! Viscountess Elashava bas Riva of the Kingdom of Northshield really does have photos and a report from ARRG VII, which took place recently in the Barony of Jararvellir.
The next scribal workshop will be held on Saturday June 14th from 11 am until 4 pm at my home in Hodges, SC. As usual, we will hold a workshop for the scribal arts.
Lucien will have fencing practice outside. This time we will also be hosting a SCA "Swap Meet". (Thanks to Bri and Marla who suggested this!) Bring out your unwanted or unneeded SCA gear, jewelry, pretty much anything and swap or sell it to a new home where it can get a new life! Finally, this is an Ordes weekend, so come prepared to enjoy the fare at our very own local English Pub. We attend in Garb, so pack accordingly!
Robin in the greenwood is … and he wants us to join him. On May 10 we will return to the grounds of the Limerick Bowmen for a fair celebrating the flight of the arrow. (This year, no snow!)
Archery activities will include a roving range (including, we hope, a running deer), royal rounds, practice areas and novelty shoots.
We will also have thrown weapons and fencing.
There are both a hall and an outdoor shelter for those not shooting to gather to visit, game, or ply their crafts. Artisans are encouraged to bring projects to work on and share. (Bring tables and chairs). Merchants are most welcome (no charge above gate fees), with merchants of goods related to Archery, Thrown Weapons and the Fence given preference if space becomes an issue.

The great Baroness of Caerthe, Mary of Blackthorn has spent this long, cold winter dreaming of the great fighters of her realm. She sent a missive to the beautiful Baroness of Dragonsspine, Lydia of the Pines, to challenge her to a chess match at the first thaw. At the behest of their Excellencies, fighters will meet on the chessboard of battle to support their most excellent Baronesses. Each move on the chessboard by the baronesses will be fought on the tourney field by their fighters.
The King is coming! His Majesty Berengar of Nancy will be grace the barony with his presence at the Baronial Rapier Championship and New Year's Celebration.
Saturday will have rapier tourneys, dancing and a feast. The Arts and Sciences competition is for the finest dedication, salutation or lamentation, before, during or after a bout. The feast will be served especially for His Majesty from "To The King's Taste". Also, entertainment fit for a King!
