I am a 15th century sailor aboard the ship known as "The Crimson Star". I serve as firstmate, and write fictional tales about our voyages, and adventures as a "merchant" ship. Greetings from a newbie to this forum.

I will be attending Fool's War in Macon, GA and wondered if there will be any jesters in attendance. I would like to don my fool's garb and masque for the occasion. Particularly, I would love to check out any unique staves and garb.

Look for "The Fool's Folley" pavilion in our encampment. Please jingle by for respite and a fools's welcome on Saturday.

I'm looking for period documentation and pictoral evidence for decorative face painting. All I've found so far are adverts for people who do face painting and vague comments about "face painting is period" or "face painting is ancient". We have a few things on the Celts & woad, but, not much. Any information is much appreciated. Thanks!
