Description

This list has been created as an adjunct to the SCA-Disaster List.

After a disaster, the first needs are typically for shelter, potable water, food, and clothing, along with needed medical care. The SCA-Disaster List exists to coordinate relief efforts by and for SCAdians in this regard.

Once those needs are met, the important thing is to try to get life "back to normal." For a SCAdian, getting back to normal may require new or repaired garb, camping equipment, feast gear, regalia, armor, rattan.... Also, some event sites we use are affected by disaster, such as the effects of Hurricane Katrina on the Gulf Wars site and the permanent construction SCAdians have built there.

It is to these ends that we dedicate this list.

Unlike its sister list, SCA-Disaster, this group will be a little more relaxed. The rules are:

1) Be nice.
2) No politics, SCA or Mundane.
3) Matters relating to immediate disaster needs should go to SCA-Disaster. This is for replacing and repairing SCA stuff, which carries a lower priority.
4) The policy statements of the Moderators shall have [MODERATOR] in the message, and are final. However, unlike SCA-Disaster, on this list the moderator *does* care who is still speaking to him at the end of the day.
5) Obey all laws and SCA policies as they relate to the activities discussed in this list.
6) *PLEASE DO NOT CROSSPOST FROM SCA-DISASTER WITHOUT MODERATOR PERMISSION! Pretty much everyone on *this* list is on *that* list, too, and it creates headaches which lead to complaints and more headaches for the moderator.
A greater degree of "chattiness" and straying from the core topic is allowed, but we will try to steer it back on course if it becomes a problem.
