I wonder if this tendency to tangle would argue for bigger, heavier beads and heavier threat or cording? It might still tangle but bigger beads and heavier

Looks like those pouches are big enough to hold a book and beads. It would make sense to have a special pouch or bag to carry your Book of Hours and beads.
