Home Sweet Home: For the Birds

5:30 – 7 pm

Using acrylic paints and imaginations, Buddies (ages 5–7), Explorers (ages 8–12), and their families turn bottle-neck or swan-neck gourds into works of art and sweet homes for backyard birds. Fee: $10 per gourd. 845-7010 or museum@lywam.org to register.

Iroquois Earth Dances

For Iroquois people, social dancing celebrates Hotinoshoni culture and is an expression of happiness, thankfulness, and good health. Wearing traditional clothing and accompanied by water drum and cow-horn rattle, Nicole Brooks of the Oneida Nation Arts Program demonstrates songs and steps to a variety of earth songs.
