Will Campion writes...
We are all aware of the tragic events that have occured across the world from us. With more than 60,000 dead and millions homeless, this is truely a tragedy of epic proportions. In a time such as this, we each are called to do what we can for those who have suffered such a tremendous loss. Charity is one of the chivarlic virtues and now is certainly a time when it is needed.
From the LegioDraconis staff...
Click Read More for links to link lists of possible aid organizations to which charitable contributions can be sent. Keep in mind as well that while donations from SCA accounts aren't allowed, collection jars can be placed by private citizens at event gates.
From Will Campion, via submision to Legio Draconis...

If you're inclined to donate directly to the Red Cross foundation, online book dealer, Amazon.com, has arranged for a donation page from which you can send a monetary donation to the Red Cross via their normal payment system. 100% of your donation goes to the Red Cross, with Amazon supplying you with confirmation email so that you can deduct the donation on your taxes. Read more about this donation option directly at the Amazon.com website via the following link:

Although it does not directly help the people suffering from this, blood donations are typically low this time of year.

Unitarian Universalist Service Committee:
http://www.uusc.org
is another well established, international group that is aiding in tsunami relief. This organisation, founded in 1940 to promote human rights in reaction to the events in Europe during WWII, does a great deal of humanitarian relief work around the world in troubled spots where human rights suffer. You can go to their web page and donate through their relief efforts as well and read about their mission, history and what they do.
